I'm Back!

I realize it's been a while since my last post. I've been very busy these past few weeks, so I haven't had much time to post anything. On top of that, my computer is dying a slow and horrible death (which may culminate with me getting frustrated at it and throwing it off the 8th-floor balcony), so I can't get online quite as easily as I used to.
Stripes, the one-act play, went very well. The drama team performed it for two nights, and then Kilmakee's minister asked us to perform it again during a Sunday morning service. We did so last week -- which was also when my parents were visiting. I was glad they got to see it. Feedback from everyone who saw it was very positive. I am so proud of the team! They've come a long way this year, and they are talented youth. I couldn't stop smiling for about a day.
A few days after the one-act, the second week of June, the YAV team in Belfast went on a retreat. We spent two days on Iona, an island off the west coast of Scotland which has a Christian community famous for its worship. Then we went to Glasgow, Scotland, for two days and met with a group of people working with churches in working-class/low-income areas. And then we went to Edinburgh, Scotland, to finish off the week with some free time and a meeting with the man in charge of the Church of Scotland's climate-change initiatives. All in all, it was an interesting and busy week.
And then my parents came to visit. We went up to the North Coast, down to Dublin, and spent some time in the Belfast area. It was really good to see them again.
That's all I have for now. I should be back to regular posts later this week.
Word of the Week: Manic. This word means busy, crazy, etc. For me, the month of June was pretty manic.
